Greetings you’ve reached my blog! It means that you are either a student of mine or a like-minded wanderer. Either way, you are welcome and I’m happy that you are here. The theme of my blog is “New Media” and the goal is to provide a stimulating environment for co-exploring and co-learning the concept of “New Media” and its reflections on various aspects of society, culture, and economy. Who am I?

I am an enthusiastic researcher. I have been conducting research on a variety of topics related with marketing through new media. My prior research have appeared on several scholarly outlets as journal articles and book chapters. I am particularly interested in cross-media consumer behavior and the impact of technological improvements on the universe of marketing. My interest on new-technology related issues is largely due to the fact that I have an engineering background. I have obtained my Ph.D. on marketing from Bogazici University. Currently, I am the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Istanbul Bilgi University, and teaching courses on new media, quantitative literacy, and brand management @ Department of Advertising, and on consumer behavior @ AdSchool Istanbul. In short, I have an entrepreneurial academic character and a vigorous appetite for research. I seek to establish collaborative relationships with scholars who have similar research interests.
